Gujarat TET

The State Examination Board (SEB), Gujarat conducts the Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Gujarat TET) to recruit the candidates for teacher positions in various Govt. and Private Schools in the state of Gujarat. This examination is for the candidates who wish to become teachers of primary class (I to V) and upper Primary (VI-VIII) schools.

Gujarat TET Eligibility Criteria

  1. The candidate must be a resident of Gujarat.
  2. The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years.
  3. For Primary Classes (I to V), candidate should have successfully completed their H.Sc. & P.T.C./ D.El.Ed/ 04 years Elementary Education Degree/ 02 years Diploma in Education (Special Education) from a recognised board or university.
  4. For upper Primary (VI-VIII) schools, the candidate should have successfully completed their Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks. They should also complete or appear for a B.Ed degree.

Gujarat TET Selection Process

Selection of teacher will completely be based on the entrance exam conducted by The State Examination Board (SEB), Gujarat.

Gujarat TET Exam Pattern

Gujarat TET is a two paper examination. Both papers will be held in Offline mode. 

Paper 1 shall have 5 sections. Each section will contain 30 questions. All questions will be objective type. Candidates will be given 150 Minutes to complete the Gujarat TET Paper 1 Examination. Questions will be asked from following areas:
  • Child Development and Pedagogy
  • Language-I
  • Language-II
  • Mathematics
  • Environmental Studies
Paper 2 shall have 4 sections. Each section shall contain 30 questions in each section, however, 60 questions in Mathematics and Science or Social Studies & Science. All questions are objective type. 

Candidates will be given 150 Minutes to complete the Gujarat TET Paper 2 Examination. Four Sections will be as follows:
  • Child Development and Pedagogy
  • Language-I
  • Language-II
  • Mathematics and Science or Social Studies & Science 

Gujarat TET Application Process

  1. The applicants are required to register online for Gujarat TET by visiting the official website ojas.gujarat.gov.in. With the successful completion of the registration process, the candidates will be provided with the login credentials.
  2. Fill up the application form using the login id and password.
  3. The candidates are required to upload the scanned copy of the signature and recent passport size photograph.
  4. Take Print out of online application form for future reference.
  5. The application process ends with the payment of application fees.
